Calculation method & limitations

Floor area × 800–850 BTU/h per m² for lower heat, or 900–1,000 for higher heat, following Carrier Thailand’s preliminary guidance. MCS then applies a height multiplier: ceiling height ÷ 2.7, with a minimum of 1. This height adjustment is a rough assumption, not an engineering heat-load calculation.

For preliminary estimates of typical residential rooms only. This does not model glazing area, insulation, roof heat, occupants, appliances, ventilation or air leakage. Kitchens, shops, crowded rooms and cold storage require a separate specialist assessment.

The kW figure is cooling capacity, not electrical consumption or an electricity-bill estimate.
